PLANETARY SEALS OF RUDOLPH STEINER
Dr. Rudolf Steiner created completely new forms of architecture and sculpture for the construction of the First Goetheanum. He processed the action of the seven planets - Saturn, Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter - into plastic forms, which he used on the columns that held the vault. Planetary seals came into existence subsequently. Each planet has certain shapes (the form of the planet's action towards the Earth) and certain metal and wood. I paint the seals using a special layered technique with dry pastel, which ensures the inner luminosity of the image. This allows you to observe how the mood of the painting changes with the angle of light hitting the painted surface, when the painting emerges on its own. The painted forms continue in plastic planetary forms in a frame carved from linden wood.
